The Constantia Village VOB 15km Road Race is traditionally held on the second weekend in March. The race shares a weekend with the Cape Town Cycle Tour with many runners aiming to do the double of the CV15 on the Saturday and the CT Cycle Tour on the Sunday. The current course was first run in March 2020 although the race has a more illustrious history allowing runners to experience a fast course in preparation for the Two Oceans Marathon and Half Marathon. The race is particularly popular among half marathoners looking to improve their seeding time for Two Oceans.

The gun goes outside the Constantia Fire Station leading to a fast first 10km. Two short hills follow before the course makes its way down to a rapid finish at the Alphen Common. The total elevation gain over 15km is 127m. The course records are 47:53 for men and 55:04 for women. While not being a flat route, the race is fast allowing for runners to achieve a PB or to use the race as preparation for upcoming races.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race was run in a virtual format in 2021 with all proceeds donated to the Volunteer Wildfire Services.

Don't Forget Your Coffee

Coffee will be available at Vida at the Constantia Village Shopping Centre from 05:30 on Race Day morning. And at the Finish, Coffee will be available from BackAlley Coffee and Cuppa Joe’s.
SHOES FOR GOOD BY JACK BLACK’S

In Partnership with Jack Black, we’re calling on the running community to donate used or new running shoes to Jack Black’s Shoes for Good Campaign. These shoes will be donated to people who really need them, and in Cape Town they’ll be donated via the JAG Foundation. Donate at the Collection Points at Registration and on Race Day and stand a chance to win a prize!
