RACE NUMBERS AND LICENSES
Your race pack will include your race number. Please ensure that you wear this on the front of your vest/t-shirt on race day. The number includes a timing chip on piece of foam. Do not bend this, damage it, or remove it or you will not receive a time.
If you indicated that you require a temporary license, you will receive this at registration, please ensure that you wear this on the back of your vest/t-shirt on race day.
You will not be allowed to run on race day if you do not have a valid 2023 ASA license or a temporary license on your vest. If you have not purchased a temporary license or have not yet received your 2023 ASA license, please purchase a temp license at registration.
WHERE IS THE START PEN?
The Start Pen is located in the Parking Lot of the Constantia Village Shopping Centre.
IS PARKING AVAILABLE?
Parking will be available at the start venue (the Constantia Village Shopping Centre) for about 300 cars and at the Constantia Sports Complex. Additional parking is available on Alphen Drive. Please follow the instructions of the parking marshals and follow the parking arrows. We ask that runners make use of the Doordrift Road entrance to the Constantia Village Shopping Centre and not the entrance on the Constantia Main Road.
Please do not park in the driveways of our neighbours or along Constantia Main Road. We also ask that you do not move the road signs that we have placed to denote no parking and no stopping zones. These are to ensure the safe running of the race.
TOG BAG FACILITY
A tog bag facility will be available at the start. You need to ensure that your race number is on the tag when you hand your bag in on race day.
ARE THERE LOOS AT THE START?
The toilets inside the Constantia Village Shopping Centre will be open on race day. You can access these loos at the MTN entrance to the Constantia Village. An additional 12 portable loos will also be available at the finish at the Alphen Common, a short walk from the start venue. Please make sure that you use the loos before you enter your start batch.
HOW WILL MY TIME BE CALCULATED?
The race is run on a gun-to-mat format. Your official time is calculated from the gun at the start; however, you will also receive a net time (i.e. a time adjusted based on when you cross the start mat).
WHAT IS THE RACE CUT-OFF?
The race cut-off time is 2 hours 30 minutes. The route includes 2 short uphills towards the end of the course so keep some energy in reserve.
