Cape Town, South Africa | September 2026: Runners will once again have the rare opportunity to race through some of Cape Town’s most spectacular historic vineyards when the Totalsports VOB Grape Run-Gravel Run returns to the Constantia Valley on Sunday, 15 November 2026.
Hosted by Totalsports VOB Running Club, the popular annual event combines road and gravel running across the picturesque Constantia Valley, offering runners a choice of 21.1km and 14km distances. The 21.1km race starts at 05:45, followed by the 14km at 06:00, with both events starting from Constantia Village Shopping Centre.
Far from a conventional road race, the Grape Run gives participants access to routes through some of Constantia’s historic wine farms. The 21.1km course winds through four wine farms and includes approximately 445m of climbing, while the 14km route takes runners through Groot Constantia with approximately 290m of ascent.
The combination of vineyard tracks, challenging climbs and sweeping views over the Constantia Valley has made the Grape Run a firm favourite on the Western Cape running calendar. The event is also committed to reducing its environmental footprint and is run as a plastic-free event, with runners encouraged to carry their own bottles or hydration packs due to limited water stations along the wine farm sections of the route.
A maximum field of 2,000 runners will be accepted, with online entries closing on 9 November 2026. There will be no entries on race day.
